What makes an acceleration program effective? Why do some ventures survive while others fail? And how can the value of an entrepreneurship program be measured years after it has ended?

Shir Elkayam Luzzatto's research focuses on technology entrepreneurship, acceleration processes and the factors that shape the development of entrepreneurs and ventures over time. She examines how founder characteristics, team composition and the entrepreneurial environment relate to business outcomes, alongside the long-term impact of entrepreneurship support programs.

Her research combines quantitative and qualitative methods and seeks to translate academic knowledge into practical insights for entrepreneurs, program managers and policymakers.

Research does not end with an academic publication. The policy papers translate research knowledge and findings into insights and recommendations for policymakers and decision-makers in entrepreneurship, innovation and economic development.
